Committee Listing

Much of the work performed by MLREMS is handled by the seven standing committees and the Monroe-Livingston REMAC. This portion of the site contains the essential tasks of the committees, their chairs and the committee meeting schedule.

Best Practices Committee - Chair - Randy Campbell

Membership: Tim Czapranski, Julie Jordan, Mike Kuder

Charge:

Meeting schedule: As needed

 

Executive Committee - Chair - Paul Bishop, Council Chair

Membership: The officers of MLREMS, the Regional Medical Director, the County EMS Coordinators, and the Chairs of the standing committees.

Charge: Establishing the MLREMS priorities and communicate them to the membership.

Meeting schedule: The first Wednesday of every month at 16:00 iat the PSTF STEP Conference Room.

 

Finance and Administration - Chair - Marc Connolly, Council Treasurer

Membership: Sheri Adam, Bob Faugh, Joe Meath

Charge: Both short and long-term financial planning, review of budget and expenditures, review and make recommendations regarding contracts, and serve as a liaison with the Council's independent auditors and bookkeepers.

Nominations, Elections and Governance - Chair - William Sheahan

Membership:  Tim Czapranski, Bob Faugh, Gwen Williams

Charge: Assist the Council with procedural operations and coordinate nominations and elections.  The NEG Committee is responsible to ensure that bylaws are reviewed and revised as necessary, monitor compliance of the membership and also to help recruit new members for the Council.

Public Information, Education and Recruitment - Chair - Erik Rueckmann

System Operations Committee - Chair - Tom Coyle

Membership:

Charge: To coordinate the Council's role in the ambulance service determination of need process (NYS Public Health Law Article 30, Section 3003.5 and 3008), review and make recommendations to the Council regarding exemptions from staffing standards (NYS Public Health Law Article 30, 3003.m).  Voting members of this committee must be members of the Council.

Training and Education Committee - Chair - Dave Leven

Membership: Sheri Adam, Paul Bishop, Sharon Chiumento, Steve Erb, Beth McNeil, Rick Russotti, Bill Sheahan, Terry Taylor

Charge: To assist the Council in determining the educational needs of the prehospital EMS providers in the Region, and to take all required measures to insure that adequate educational resources and opportunities exist throughout the Region.

Meeting schedule: The third Monday, every other month (even) at 15:00 at the PSTF STEP Conference Room, except for April and August the meetings are held in the Livingston County EMS Office Conference Room.
