2009 Regional Awards: Time is Running Out!

Do you know someone in EMS that should be recognized for the job they have done?
Is there a person that has made a significant contribution to EMS and should receive an award?
Does you agency select a member of the year award?

Anyone of these people should be nominated for the Regional EMS Awards. The award nomination process takes only a few minutes with a computerized form and can make a lasting difference in a person’s life. The winner of the regional awards will be honored during EMS Week at the STEP Conference and will be submitted to the New York State EMS Awards.

The award categories set by New York State are listed below :

• BLS Provider of the Year
• ALS Provider of the Year
• EMS Agency of the Year
• Youth Provider of the Year
• EMS Leadership
• EMS Educator of Excellence
• EMS Communication Specialist
• Registered Professional Nurse of Excellence
• Physician of Excellence
• Lloyd Leve Award (MLREMS Only- Qualifications are on award form)

Qualifications are described at http://www.health.state.ny.us/nysdoh/ems/pdf/awards_brochure_2010.pdf and the person must live in Monroe or Livingston Counties.

To be considered, you must use the specific form for submission. No other attachments will be accepted. The forms are at:

The deadline for award submission is March 15, 2010 at 5:00 pm.
