RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position is accountable for teaching miscellaneous classes. The class instructor is a collateral duty or
dedicated employee assignment accountable to the Training Department Manager with only class hours,
no road duties.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE:
The Class Training Coordinator position can be assigned to any BVA personnel . Personnel holding this
position will be compensated commensurate with established pay or compensation scales adjusted in
accordance with their compensation rates.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Functions:
● Teaches certification classes such as ACLS, PALS, CPR/AED, First Aid and other alphabet
classes, under the direction of the Training Department Manager for BVA personnel and
community members.
● Teaches or coteaches
ALS and BLS Core classes, under the direction of the Training Manager
and Agency Certified Instructor Coordinator
● Communicates regularly with and follows up with the Training Manager on a monthly basis.
● Assures all required paperwork is complete prior to and following the presentations
● Assists with Simulation training for clearing of new medics as well as quarterly training.
● Upkeep and coordination of equipment at the Training Center as well as notifying the Training
Manager when/what equipment needs to be ordered.

● Complete collateral assignments in offtimes;
weekends, evenings if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional and positive attitude, proactive.
Exemplary interpersonal skills.
Minimum 4 years experience as an EMTP
or higher. NYS certified, or reciprocity to, EMTP
or higher.
Instructor for AHA CPR/AED, PALS, ACLS, etc
AHA or equivalent instructor certifications desired.
NIMS qualified to current recommendation standards.
Meets BVA employee requirements (certifications, background checks, medical clearance, etc.).
